Raw material

  • Fancy Carp Pandan Small Sago - 250 grams
  • Sugar - 250 grams
  • Water - 950 ml
  • Jasmine essence - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Boiled sweet corn - 250 grams
  • Coconut milk - 500 grams
  • -------- Ingredients for coconut topping --------
  • Granulated sugar - 65 grams
  • Fancy Carp Brand Jasmine Rice Flour - 30 grams
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon

 

How to cook

Sago Mixture

  1. Add 950 ml of water to a pot and bring it to a boil.
  2. Rinse the sago pearls by placing them in a strainer and running a little water over them.
  3. Add the sago pearls to the pot and cook over medium heat, stirring continuously for about 15 minutes to prevent the sago from clumping together.
  4. When the sago becomes thick and sticky, add jasmine essence and sugar, stirring until well combined.
  5. Add the cooked corn and mix well, then turn off the heat.
  6. Spoon the mixture into prepared cups and set aside to cool.

Coconut Topping

Mix the coconut topping ingredients together. Start by adding the coconut milk, granulated sugar, salt, and jasmine rice flour, and stir until well combined.

Coconut Topping

Pour the mixed coconut topping into a pot or pan. Cook over low heat, stirring continuously until the coconut mixture begins to thicken. Turn off the heat and remove from the stove.

Add Coconut Topping to “Sago Pudding”

Spoon the sago mixture into prepared cups or containers, then add a layer of coconut topping on the sago. Let it sit for a moment to allow the coconut layer to set. You can garnish with cooked corn or other toppings as desired.
